Tweed Heads is a self driving family holiday mecca on the far northern coast of NSW.
Tweed Heads offers swimming and fishing at great local beaches, close proximity to exhilarating theme parks, access to world heritage listed rainforests, and excellent shopping and dining experiences.
At the centre of the action is Pyramid Holiday Park, just two minutes from town, where you can find affordable cabin accommodation and sites for caravans and camping.
The park is also just six minutes from Coolangatta, and a mere stone’s throw from Gold Coast Airport. The park has a raft of facilities and amenities and a semi-tropical setting that invites extended stays. Think palm trees, tropical plants, and thick green lawned areas.
As far as accommodation goes, this Tweed Heads holiday park ticks all the right boxes. Caravanners will welcome the many private powered and ensuite sites available, while campers can enjoy both powered and unpowered sites. If your preference is for cabin accommodation, Pyramid Holiday Park offers a range of two-bedroom villas, two-bedroom holiday cabins, and budget studio cabins. All sleep six, and feature air-conditioning, kitchenette and linen.
Within the park itself, you will enjoy a swimming pool, playgrounds, recreation room, BBQ, camp kitchen, and park-wide wifi. There’s also a laundry, tour desk, off-leash dog park, and a dump point for those with larger caravans and RVs. Look out too for the general convenience store which stocks souvenirs, beach necessities, gas and ice.
Dogs are also allowed on selected sites.
Golfing and tennis facilities are nearby, and you can even pre-purchase your theme park tickets and book your tours at the tour desk in the park. Public transport and the nearby Seagulls Club courtesy shuttle bus stop at the park entrance, meaning you can leave the driving to someone else.
