Park Info
In the Central Tablelands of New South Wales, Gulgong is 30 minutes from the welcoming Mudgee wine region. Gulgong Tourist Park itself is within walking distance to the heart of Gulgong, which means you can take time to explore the charming 19th century gold rush town. Much of the character and heritage architecture remains intact, adding to the town’s appeal.
Gulgong Tourist Park has a lovely rural setting with large expanses of green lawns flanked by magnificent shady trees. There is a wide selection of accommodation to choose from, with cabins catering to couples through to families and bigger groups.
If you’re bringing your caravan, camper trailer, motorhome or tent, the powered and unpowered sites are fantastic. When you book a powered site you have the option to choose from a slab site, grass site or drive-through site. All Gulgong Tourist Parks unpowered sites are set amongst the lawn and trees creating an enjoyable camping atmosphere and experience.
The Deluxe six-berth cabins have two bedrooms, with a queen bed in the main bedroom and two sets of bunks in the second. These cabins feature a fully self-contained kitchen, lounge and dining area as well as a spacious deck to enjoy.
The one-bedroom Standard Cabins include a double bed and second double bed with a single bunk on top, making them ideal for groups of five travelling together. Then there’s Gulgong Tourist Park’s standard two-bedroom cabins. They also sleep up to five people and are ideal for those travelling on a budget.
Regardless of the type of accommodation you select at Gulgong Tourist Park, all guests have access to terrific caravan park facilities such as camp kitchen, BBQs and onsite bathrooms. There’s a fun playground to help the children use up some of that energy, and a campfire for the whole family to sit around and enjoy.
If you stroll the town of Gulgong, you’ll be amongst approximately 130 National Trust-listed buildings. Several buildings of note include the Gulgong Pioneer Museum – where you can learn about the gold rush – and the Prince of Wales Opera House, built in 1871.
Apart from tourism, hospitality and wine, Gulgong and its greater surrounds are well known for wool and wheat production. This is a region where you can relax and disconnect from your busy life, spending time with the people important to you.
