Located midway between Bowen and Cairns, Ingham is a lush tropical destination in the North Queensland hinterland, known for its thriving sugar cane history as and Italian heritage. Ingham Tourist Park is the ideal base for exploration of the area, being located close to the heart of town as well as local sites and attractions, national parks and beaches.
Ingham Tourist Park offers a range of self-contained accommodation options, ranging from campsites to well appointed units and cabins, ideal for stays short and long. Whether you’re exploring the wonders of North Queensland’s tropical rainforests and heritage trails, or making a stop along a tour towards the Cape, Ingham is a destination worth discovering.
For those arriving with the caravan, camper trailer, motorhome or tent, e park offers shady powered and unpowered sites. Drive through sites are available for big rigs and extra manoeuvrability, and sites are dog friendly, meaning the whole family can come on holiday too!
Cabin accommodation is comfortable and relaxed, with kitchen and cooking facilities, ensuite, and air conditioning and ceiling fans for year round comfort in the Queensland heat. There are budget cabin options too, with access to the park’s shared amenities.
The park has fantastic facilities the whole family will enjoy, including sparkling swimming pool and camp kitchen. For extra convenience, there is a guest laundry and on-site kiosk for those last minute essentials and the occasional treat!
Just under 90 minutes from Townsville, Ingham is known locally as ‘Little Italy’ thanks to its strong Italian history. Plan your trip to include the annual Australia-Italian Festival every August.
